Microsoft is no stranger to the gaming peripheral market, and the SideWinder X5 gaming mouse is the latest entry from the Redmond, Washington giant. This mouse debuted at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany today and was specially designed with gamers in mind to “give mainstream gamers a competitive edge” – yeah, as if other gaming mice were not meant to do so. As with any self-respecting gaming mouse, you will get a plethora of buttons (nine in total comprising of vertical side buttons, five customizable buttons and a quick-launch button). The sensitivity can be adjusted on-the-fly up to 2,000 DPI, making the SideWinder X5 reside somewhere in the middle of the gaming mouse food chain. You can pick this up in September for $59.99. No refunds if your gaming skill does not improve after this.
