One of the Sony PSP’s main gripe would be its poor battery life, and Sony aims to remedy the situation with its PSP Extended Life Battery Kit that works for both the PSP-2000 as well as the original “phatty”. Installation is dead easy – all you need to do is slide the new pack into the same slot as the normal battery segment and you’re good to go – this time armed with approximately 2,200mAh of power. Battery life is said to be doubled with the new pack, although I’d take that claim with a pinch of salt. Avid PSP gamers will be able to pick up the Sony PSP Extended Life Battery Kit when it is released in North America in the middle of next month for approximately $45, and each purchase comes with panel covers that cater to the original PSP black and light silver hue.
