After a short teaser, Sprint has released the details of the Sprint Rumor messaging phone. Designed by LG, this phone aims to be an affordable texting phone. It will be available for $80 (with a 2yr service contract and after rebate) and unlimited SMS plans start at $10 for individuals and $20 for families, which can be pretty good if there are a couple of teenagers in the house. The full QWERTY keyboard ensures that typing can be done comfortably and we agree: that’s an essential featurefor any text device. The “Rumor” phone is also loaded with a GPS navigation software, although it wasn’t clear if it uses assisted-GPS or a real GPS receiver.
