Nokia debuts N500 at SEMA 2007
Nokia has just introduced the N500 portable navigation device – the first of its kind after Nokia bought over Navteq last month. The N500 looks like any other GPS navigation device, featuring a 4.3″ color touchscreen display, an integrated speaker for audible turn-by-turn voice guidance, text-to-speech support that reads out names of individual streets, an integrated FM transmitter, and cellphone compatibility, allowing you to carry out hands-free conversations with a supported Bluetooth handset. The Nokia N500 will be released commercially in Q1 next year with a recommended retail price that hovers in the $500 vicinity – hopefully we’ll see more of this in CES next year.
