If you’ve been shopping for LCD TVs in the past couple of years, you might have seen the Olevia brand, especially for 27” models. The Olevia line-up will now feature a 65” model sold for $7000 (that’s a little steep, given that one can find a Sharp Aquos 65” LCD TV for $6500 online). Let’s wait and see what the street price of the Olevia 65” will be.
I have not experienced the image quality of the Olevia 265TFHD 65” LCE TV yet, but I did find previous 37” models to have poor image quality and user interface. Try to check it out at a store, and bring your own DVD, with a dark movie to check on the black tones, contrast and luminosity. Stores often sow movies like “Nemo” where saturated colors make it hard to judge image quality.
