Avago Technologies has just launched its new input device module known as the AMRS-2325 in Korea, bringing together a navigation pad module with a motion sensor and an integrated circuit in order to provide users with a mouse-like pointing solution (or the Wiimote in gaming jargon :P). The AMRS-2325 will have many practical applications when commercially available, ranging from handheld and gaming devices to computer peripherals and remote controls. The capacitive sense technology used within means users can even use this while wearing gloves, which is a step up from other touch-sensitive devices. Other features include a joystick mode, a scrollwheel mode, and a 4-way switch mode. Looks pretty nifty by all accounts.
