Tannoy has a brand new PSP speaker system, and this time it comes in the form of the SRS TruSurround. It is capable of processing any multi-channel audio source and converting it into a virtual 5.1 surround sound format over a pair of speakers or headphones, making the listener feel as though they’re surrounded by ‘phantom’ speakers. While that description sounds pretty impressive, I’m still skeptical about real life performance as most products that dispense ‘virtual’ sound rarely, if ever, live up to the promise .If you use your PSP as the primary video and audio playback device of choice (ironic considering how it is meant to be a game player first and foremost), the Tannoy PSP speaker system will retail for £99.99.
