Birth simulator for med students

Most medical students get their practise on real patients, but that is quite dangerous at times as inexperience could further aggravate a patient’s condition. Thankfully, we have an electronic birth simulator that helps med students practice labor and birth without risking any lives, and the ability for this simulator to do complications as well adds greatly to the challenge. The “Noelle” mannequin that you see here can cost up to $35,000 and even comes with a lifelike cervix dilation process and a rising pulse when the ‘baby’ is being delivered. Looks as though on essential ingredient is missing – blood. Guess future iterations could include that in, although the maintenance would be way higher as each practice session requires a massive amount of cleaning up.
