PackBot 510 ready to rumble
iRobot is famous for their range of Roomba and Scooba robots that help ease your housekeeping woes, but the company does have a flip side that produces robots of the PackBot variety. These PackBots are utilized in situations where human lives could be endangered when it comes to reconnaissance as well as disarming bombs. There is a new iteration of the PackBot dubbed the PackBot 510 which will be shipped when April rolls around. The PackBot 510 improves over its predecessor by offering a 30% increased speed, twice the gripping strength and weight lifting prowess. In addition, the robot boasts a new hand controller which makes it much easier to control.
