DEMO 2007 – At Ubergizmo we love GPS enabled technology and devices (mainly because Hubert gets lost all the time), so the Inilex Kepler caught our interest. It is a combination of a web application, GPS and wireless communication. The main feature is the vehicle tracking capability that comes handy when your car is stolen. Using the Inilex website, the user set a Geofence around a certain location where the car is parked, if the car leaves this area unexpectedly, he/she gets a phone call immediately.
Inilex’s CEO, Scott Ferguson, indicates that the Kepler tracking device is very easy to install in the car. Besides the security feature, the user is able to monitor the vehicle speed remotely, so parents can get text notification in their mobile phones when the kids are driving too fast or go to places they are not supposed to. This platform can be used to manage a fleet and it can be installed in other type of vehicles like boats.
