MSMobile had the opportunity to compare the iPAQ HW6500 mobile messenger with the Orange SPV C500 smartphone, this confirm that the HW6500 is quite wide, as we estimated earlier.
We knew that a GPS was built-in, but the device is also capable of using the cell towers signal to triangulate its position (I guess with less precision than GPS). MsMobile mentions a 200×200 pixels resolution for the screen, which is quite surprising as it really looks like a 240×240 resolution on the photos. The processor speed was not confirmed by HP, but they said that it would be faster than the iPAQ 6300.
The phone should ship in April 2005 for a retail price of 700 Euros ($910). I expect a lower price in the U.S, as electronics is usually more expensive in Europe.
