Many Mac fans have not really appreciated some of the advancements that the company has made in recent years, including but not limited to the butterfly keys and USB Type-C ports. Those who didn’t like the new MacBooks opted for 2016 and 2015 models instead and it appears that Apple is now gearing up to stop selling the 2015 MacBook Pro.
It features many ports that are still useful today such as HDMI, USB-A, and even a full-fledged SD card slot. The 2015 MacBook Pro was popular with customers because unlike the newer models, it didn’t push them to adopt USB Type-C well before they wanted to. This particular model is also the last one from Apple to feature a traditional keyboard. It’s after this model that the company switched to a butterfly keyboard mechanism.
The discontinuation of this particular model appears to be a clear signal from Apple that it wants customers to shift to more newer models of the MacBook Pro. The company will soon no longer be selling the 2015 model anymore.
Those who still want one will either have to try their luck with Apple and see if they can find one that’s in stock. They can also utilize online listing websites such as eBay to see if anyone is selling their 2015 MacBook Pro.
