Many great titles released for the Xbox 360 are already backwards compatible with the Xbox One which means that owners of the current-generation console can simply pop in the disc and start playing their favorite titles from years gone by once again. Rockstar has now announced that it’s going to add three more titles to the list by making three of its classic games backwards compatible with the Xbox One.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is the first classic that will soon be backwards compatible with the Xbox One, Rockstar has confirmed, adding that Midnight Club: Los Angeles and Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis will be joining the list as well.
All three titles will be backwards compatible for Xbox One this Thursday, June 7th. Digital game owners will have instant access to the games on Xbox One and will be able to download them right away from the “Ready to Install” section.
Those who have a physical disc will first have to pop that disc into the Xbox One and then download the game which they will then be able to keep forever. The customer is required to make no additional purchases in order to play backwards compatible titles that they previously owned on the Xbox One.
