When it comes to smartwatches, Fossil was kind of late to the game, but the company has definitely not wasted any time since. The company has been busy churning out smartwatch after smartwatch under the various brands under its umbrella, with the latest devices from Fossil coming in the form of the Fossil Q Venture and Q Explorist.
However if you thought that was all Fossil had to offer for 2017, think again as the company has since launched its latest smartwatch, the Fossil Q Control. What makes this particular device interesting is also the fact that this is the first Fossil smartwatch that actually comes with a built-in heart rate sensor.
This means that if heart rate measuring was a feature that you want and the lack of the feature held you back from Fossil’s devices, the Q Control could change your mind. It is clearly marketed as a fitness device, thanks to its water-resistance (Fossil is calling it “swim-proof”) of up to a depth of 50 meters, which means that it should withstand the rigors at the gym or even the pool.
The Q Control is powered by Android Wear and sports a 45mm circular case and a 20mm watchband, with a single button on its side. It is priced at $275 and is currently available for purchase via Fossil’s website.
