Apple didn’t just unveil a new Apple Watch today. It also confirmed when it’s going to release watchOS 4 and what new features it’s going to bring. It confirmed the watchOS 4 release date during its event today at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino. The latest iteration of its wearable operating system was first unveiled back at the WWDC event in June this year.

The latest update isn’t as big of an update as watchOS 3 was last year. It does bring several new Siri features, new watch faces, and improved health and fitness-related features.

For example, watchOS 4 comes with an updated Heart Rate app that provides more insight to heart rate, including measurements during resting, working out, recovery, walking, and Breathe sessions. It’s even capable of giving users a notification when their heart rate rises above a specific threshold while inactive.

The new proactive Siri watch face displays information that users need the most throughout the day. The latest update also brings an enhanced Workout app with a new interface, custom High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout type and auto-sets for pool swims.

The Music app has been redesigned to offer a new experience. It automatically syncs playlists like New Music Mix and Favorites Mix with the user’s most listened music.

Apple has confirmed that watchOS 4 is going to be released on September 19th.
