Samsung has confirmed that it’s going to launch an updated version of its Notebook 9 laptop next month. The biggest change that it will make to this product will be under the hood. The new Notebook 9 from Samsung is going to be powered by Intel’s new 8th Generation Core processors that the company announced last week.

Intel claims that the 8th Generation Core processors deliver 40 percent more performance than the existing 7th Generation processors. This means that the new Notebook 9 is going to provide more performance compared to the current model.

Configured with up to a Core i7 processor, the new Notebook 9 from Samsung may also have support for up to 32GB of RAM. The U series of its 8th Generation chips that will power portable devices like notebooks will have quadcore processors instead of dualcore for the very first time.

The new Notebook 9 is also going to come with the S Pen stylus. This means that the notebook is going to have touchscreen capability as well aside from having a convertible form factor that makes it ideal for media consumption as well.

Samsung hasn’t confirmed as yet how much the new Notebook 9 is going to cost and when it’s going to be released. We’re likely to get that information next month when Samsung says it’s going to officially unveil the new machine.
