Microsoft announced a new Forza Motorsport title at its E3 2017 press conference in Los Angeles. The company has confirmed that it’s making a new addition to its flagship racing series. The new title was detailed on stage by Turn 10 chief Dan Greenawalt who also confirmed that Forza Motorsport 7 has 4K support for the Xbox One X.
The Xbox One X is the biggest announcement to come out of Microsoft’s press conference today. It’s the console that we’ve known only as the Project Scorpio until today. It’s the most powerful console that Microsoft has ever built.
Greenwalt demonstrated the gameplay of Forza Motorsport 7 on the Xbox One X. It was running in 4K and 60 frames-per-second on the new console which is nothing short of a milestone. It’s the first Forza Motorsport title to hit these figures.
Dynamic weather effects have been added to the game as well. This is a feature that many Forza Motorsport fans have long wished for so they will be happy now that this feature has been added to the latest version of the game.
Forza Motorsport 7 will be released on October 3rd for Xbox One and Xbox One S. The Xbox One X version with support for 4K gaming will be released during the holiday season, Microsoft is yet to provide a confirmed release date for that version.
