If you’re using Microsoft Office and you’ve recently updated your software and have been noticing that you’re getting naggy pop-ups every hour, know that you’re not alone and know that this is a bug, not a feature. According to user reports, it seems that these pop-ups are occurring extremely frequently and it can be very annoying.
We know it doesn’t take much to clear a pop-up, but imagine how disruptive it can be when you’re doing other things that you don’t want any interruptions with. For example it can pop up at the most inopportune moments, such as when you’re playing a game and it interrupts a crucial moment. Or it could be that you’re doing some online banking and the pop up gets in your way, which is what you really don’t want to happen when it comes to handling money.
However the good news is that Microsoft’s Jen Gentleman has since confirmed that they are aware of the bug and there is a fix that is finding its way through the Microsoft Office Insiders Slow ring. This means that a fix is already underway and for those not part of the Slow ring or Insiders program, you guys can expect the patch at a slightly later date.
