Based on all the leaks that we’ve seen so far, it’s safe to say that how the final iPhone 8 design will look like should no longer come as a surprise. That is unless Apple has been purposely feeding misinformation to the rumor mill, which we guess wouldn’t really be all that surprising, but until we can say for sure, we roughly know what the phone should look like.
Now it seems that more renders have emerged, courtesy of the folks at Engadget who were shown a highly detailed CAD file of the iPhone 8’s chassis. Based on what they saw, they then created their own rendering which you can see in the image above. Remember that the image above is a rendering created based on a drawing that they saw, so this is by no means official and we wouldn’t exactly classify it as a leak either.
According to Engadget, what they saw also confirmed that they iPhone 8 will indeed have a glass front and back which is also in line with earlier rumors, and also in line with what we saw in an earlier leaked photo of the iPhone 8’s rear glass panel. Assuming this concept is accurate, we have to say that the phone looks pretty good, although it is rather reminiscent of the iPhone 6/6s/7 which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but not really the design overhaul we’re sure many were hoping for.
In any case take it with a grain of salt, but we’re still several months away from Apple making it official so who knows, things could very well change from now until then.
