That means that if you’re watching a streamer review or playthrough a game you were considering, you will be able to purchase that particular game from Twitch if you have decided that you do want it. According to Twitch, “One of the best reasons to buy on Twitch is that your purchases can support a broadcaster. Twitch will share 5% of the purchase price with Partnered streamers that have opted into our commerce program when you buy from their channel page.”
Twitch also announced Twitch Crates which are basically rewards that you get from buying games from Twitch’s platform. “From now through the end of early May, each time you make a purchase that qualifies for a Twitch Crate, you earn an invitation for a chance to win some sweet gaming and streaming gear. There are four weekly drawings, plus a grand prize that includes over $500 of professional streaming equipment.”
Now whether or not you want to choose to buy from Twitch, Steam, or some other platform is entirely up to you, but we guess there are now more options for you to choose from. As it stands there will be 50 titles available for purchase, with more planned for the future.
