Live streaming video games isn’t anything new, and we’ve seen plenty of people do that in the past few years. However if live streaming a virtual reality (VR) game is something you are interested in, then you might be interested to learn that Oculus has recently updated its Gear VR platform with that functionality.

Given that Oculus helped with the development of the Gear VR, it makes sense for them to include this feature. It also helps that Facebook owns Oculus which is why your Gear VR games can be live streamed onto Facebook Live. This allows users to share what it is like to play a game in VR with their friends, family members, or followers in general.

We guess this isn’t quite the same as you playing the game itself and since for VR, seeing is believing, it might not necessarily be an accurate representation of the experience. However if you are curious about what a game looks like in VR, or whether or not it’s worth investing in the platform, these live games could give you an idea of what to expect.

According to Oculus, “This is currently available to people with a Gear outside the US, and coming soon to everyone with the latest version of Android on their Samsung phone in the coming weeks.” In the meantime you can get an idea of what it will look like in the video above.
