When Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered was announced, the trailer and graphics certainly seemed to give off the feel that we were looking at a brand new game, which is why many gamers were pretty excited by it, although some aren’t too happy about the fact that it was only available with Infinite Warfare, which some gamers weren’t too thrilled about.
That being said if you’re looking for more content for the game, you’ll be pleased to learn that Activision has announced a new premium DLC for it in the form of the Variety Map Pack. This map pack includes four areas: Broadcast, Chinatown, Creek, and Killhouse. If you’re wondering why they sound so familiar, it is because these are the same maps released in the original game back in the day in 2008.
We guess this kind of makes sense since the original game had been remastered, so why not its DLCs too, right? However it seems that some gamers are a little upset because this premium DLC will cost $14.99, which is $5 more than what they paid almost a decade ago. We guess you could chalk it up to inflation or the fact that additional work had to be done to get them up to the same quality, but we guess this should be expect from pretty much all price hikes.
Some argue that these maps shouldn’t be a DLC in the first place and should have been included in the remaster anyway, but Activision is still a business at the end of the day and if they can monetize this, why not?
