A defining feature of Google’s Pixel phones would be its Google Assistant software, which for several months remained as an exclusive to the handsets. However Google has since announced that the feature is now rolling out to non-Pixel devices and the good news for OnePlus owners is that it is finally making its way to you.
In a tweet by the official OnePlus account, the company has announced that Google Assistant is now available on both the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. Earlier this month OnePlus had pushed out an update that is meant to bring the feature onto the OnePlus 3, so we can only assume that this tweet more or less confirms the feature and its availability for the OnePlus 3T as well.
Yay, the Google Assistant is now available on the #OnePlus3 and 3T. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve asked your assistant? pic.twitter.com/IT4DiHNdPK

Some reports have claimed that Google Assistant actually rolled out to the OnePlus 3T a bit earlier than the tweet today, but like we said maybe the tweet was made in confirmation of the feature, so if you did not know about this then it should be an update that you’ll want to keep an eye out for.
If you don’t see it yet, not to worry as it could be rolling out in stages and we’re sure that it should eventually find its way onto your phone.
