Samsung has confirmed that it’s going to conduct a press event on February 26th but it has already said that we should not expect the Galaxy S8 to be unveiled later this month. Rumor has it that the company is going to unveil two new tablets at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in February. Aside from the Android-powered Galaxy Tab S3, the company is also expected to unveil the Galaxy TabPro S2.
Even though it carries the “Galaxy” branding which has long been associated with Samsung’s Android-powered products, the original Galaxy TabPro S is a Windows 10-powered tablet and the Galaxy TabPro S2 will be its successor.
According to a new report, the FCC filing for this tablet has revealed some of its specifications which include a 12 inch Super AMOLED Quad HD 2,160×1,440 pixel resolution display, a 3.1GHz Intel Core i5-7200U processor with 4GB RAM, 128GB solid state drive, and a 5,070mAh battery. It may also feature a 13 megapixel rear camera, two USB 3.0 Type-C port, Wi-Fi, option LTE, and more.
Samsung will reportedly offer four variants of this tablet, depending upon whether customers want Wi-Fi or LTE connectivity. A schematic of the device included in the FCC filing suggests that Verizon will be one of the carriers that’s going to offer it on its network in the United States.
No word as yet on how much this tablet is going to cost but we’re likely to find that out for sure come February 26th.
