[MWC 2017] If getting a new Android tablet is something you’re interested in, then you’re in luck because at MWC 2017, Lenovo has announced a bunch of new tablets that falls under its Tab 4 lineup that are also offered in a couple of different sizes, so depending on your needs/preferences, there might be something for you.
Starting with the Tab 4 8 and 10, these are two Android-powered tablets that feature 8-inch and 10-inch displays respectively. However regardless of their display sizes, their specs remain pretty much identical, which means we’re looking at HD displays, Qualcomm Snapdragon processors (which weren’t specified), 2GB of RAM, and Dolby Atmos speakers. There is even support for multiple users on the same device.
As for the Tab 4 8 and 10 Plus, both devices are also identical in terms of specs, but differ from the “regular” Tab 4 8 and 10 in terms of design, with the Plus models sporting dual-glass options that are shielded on the front and the back. Under the hood, we’re looking at 64-bit octa-core processors clocked at 2.0GHz with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. They also feature Full HD displays, fingerprint sensors, and Dolby Atmos speakers.
In addition to the tablets, Lenovo is offering users the choice of adding a Kid’s or Productivity pack. The former will add a shock-resistant bumper, a blue-light filter (to help with sleep cycles), and colorful 3M stickers to help guard against scratches. There will also be a dedicated Kid’s account that will offer kid-friendly curated content and whitelisted websites.
As for the Productivity pack, this basically bundles a Bluetooth keyboard with the tablet to help boost, well, productivity. There is also the addition of a “productivity interface” where it comes with a taskbar and app switching features, as well as a UI that has been optimized for mouse and keyboard input.
The Lenovo Tab 4 8 and 10 are priced at $109 and $149 respectively. The Plus models are priced at $199 and $249 respectively.a
