Apple is due to launch new iPads in a couple of months which is why there are so many rumors and reports about the new tablets these days. The latest report comes from the infamous Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities who has slightly revised his predictions for the new iPad Pro. Kuo predicts that Apple will release three tablets in 2017 and that the high-end iPad Pro model is going to have a 10.5 inch display.

According to the analyst, the 2017 tablet lineup from Apple will include the 12.9 inch iPad Pro 2, a new iPad Pro with a display that’s either 10 or 10.5 inches and a “low-cost” iPad with a 9.7 inch display that iPads have stuck with over the years.

The new 10-10.5 inch iPad Pro is said to be the new high-end model with a narrow bezel design. It’s expected to be powered by Apple’s A10X processor as well as upgraded internal hardware. Despite the launch of the new models, Kuo believes that iPad shipments in 2017 will register a drop again year-over-year to around 35-37 million units.

The drop won’t necessarily be due to consumers losing interest in the iPad but also due to the performance of the overall tablet market that has been on a steady decline for the past few quarters. Even manufacturers like Apple are feeling the pinch.

None of this has obviously been confirmed by Apple as yet so take it with a grain of salt. Apple is expected to unveil its new iPads by March.
