Have you ever wanted to spice up your Facebook profile photo? In the past we’ve seen Facebook introduce features like temporary profile photos or even video profiles, but now it seems that the company is rolling out a new feature that will allow users to create their own frames for their photos and videos.
According to Facebook, “Frames are a creative way for people to have fun or show their support. Now you can create frames people can add to photos and videos on Facebook.” Basically this adds a new layer of customization to Facebook, and the best part is that if you’re a graphic designer, you’ll be able to create your own frames and submit them so that other users can use them as well.
Dubbed “Camera Effects”, Facebook has posted a guideline on how designs should create frames that can be used effectively by others. They also stress that these graphics that you use are original pieces, meaning that you can’t use copyrighted content since it’ll only mean that they’ll be taken down. Some of the examples of frames are like the ones pictured above, so head on over to Facebook’s page if you’re interested in checking it out.
