Most powerful virtual reality headsets these days are not untethered, meaning that you need to hook them up to a powerful PC in order to enjoy the immersive VR experiences that they provide. Now you can’t actually take your desktop PC with you but manufacturers have come up with a way to make that happen. They have created VR backpacks which basically put a VR-ready PC on your back and allow you to go out and about with your VR headset. MSI’s VR One Backpack PC is now available for pre-order, shipments will begin by the end of this month.

Prices for the MSI VR One Backpack start at $2,000. For this much, customers will get the base model which is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor with 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics processor. Shipments start November 30th.

Customers who are willing to pay more can get a GTX 1070 and 512GB SSD by paying $2,300. However, there’s no shipping date available for this model just yet. MSI is yet to confirm this crucial piece of information. Pre-orders for the MSI VR One Backpack PC can now be made through Newegg.

Since you can carry this backpack around it does feature a battery. The rig features a swappable battery with each providing about an hour and a half of usage. It’s compatible with most powerful virtual reality headsets like the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift.
