With the Nintendo Switch launching next year, games are pretty much what will determine if the console will be a success. Granted Nintendo’s first-party titles are probably what many of us are looking forward to, but third-party titles are just as important. Capcom appears to be one of those companies but it seems that they haven’t really figured out what to release just yet.In a post on its investors relations website (via Siliconera), they wrote, “It is excellent to have the market invigorated with new hardware launches. As a software publisher, we endeavor to develop games that offer enjoyment best suited to each piece of hardware’s features and target users.”
They also add, “Following first party, in order to introduce our own content we are currently moving forward with internal planning and analysis as a partner company.” Capcom is behind titles like Street Fighter as well as Resident Evil, so it will of course be something to look forward to if they could bring any of those games onto the Switch.
The company had announced Resident Evil 7 earlier this year, but they only mentioned that it would be compatible on the PS4, Xbox One, and PCs, without any mention to the Switch. Hopefully that will change in 2017, but until then we’ll just have to keep our eyes peeled. In the meantime Nintendo is expected to share more details about the Switch and its launch titles in 2017.
