The HTC Bolt is a phone that we have been hearing about for a while now. There have been leaked renders and rumors to suggest that the handset could be following in the footsteps of several OEMs by omitting the headphone jack, and thanks to a recent post on VentureBeat by Evan Blass, those rumors seem to have been confirmed.
The post on VentureBeat shows off a couple of new photos of the upcoming HTC Bolt. Like we’ve said before, the handset for the most part exudes a certain familiarity as the design is similar to the HTC 10, save for a few differences here and there. Then again this is the design language that HTC seems to have adopted as we have also seen in Google’s Pixel phones, so no surprises there.
In terms of specs, the rumors are saying that it will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display and will come with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. No word on its processor, but apparently it will feature BoomSound audio technology, a fingerprint sensor (as evidenced in the photos), an 18MP rear-facing camera with an f/2.0 lens and 4K video capture capabilities, and an 8MP front-facing camera.
No word on availability just yet but last we heard, it could be finding its way onto Sprint as well as other markets around the world.
