Over the past couple of months, it has been consistently rumored that Samsung is working on a high-end flip phone, one that would rival the best of them as far as specifications are concerned. We haven’t seen that many leaked images of this handset as yet but several images have now been leaked online which claim to offer us a good look at the company’s upcoming flip phones.
Samsung still makes flip phones even if they are released in only a handful of markets. The company recently came out with the Galaxy Folder 2, the successor to its mid-range flip phone which was first launched last year.
The high-end flip phone is believed to be codenamed “Veyron,” it’s claimed ot feature a 4.2-inch display with a Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm hooked up to 4GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
Additional rumored specs include a 12 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front camera, fingerprint sensor, heart rate monitor, NFC with Samsung Pay support as well as a USB Type-C port. It’s a proper Samsung flagship smartphone for all intents and purposes.
Samsung is yet to confirm when the Veyron is going to be launched and what’s it’s going to be called officially. It’s too soon to say right now in which markets Samsung will launch this handset.
