GoPro has announced a couple of new products today at an event in Northern California. The company’s highly anticipated Karma drone has been made official today and we now know how much it costs and when it’s going to be released. The rumored Hero5 action camera has been officially announced as well, two models have been announced today, the Hero5 Black and the Hero5 Session.
The biggest difference between these two models is that the Hero5 Black features a 2-inch touchscreen display while the Session doesn’t. Other than that both action cameras are quite similar in functionality.
GoPro Hero5 Black And Session both feature an integrated waterproof casing that’s good for up to 10 meters of water. Both are capable of shooting 4K video at 30 frames-per-second, the Black takes 12 megapixel stills while the Session tops out at 10 megapixels. The built-in GPS is only limited to the Hero5 Black
The cameras also have integrated voice control with support for seven languages as well as easy one-button camera control. Both models are capable of capturing wide-angle video and photo while the Hero5 also has the ability to shoot in RAW. Active noise cancellation is also present as the cameras have three integrated microphones.
All existing mounts are compatible with these new action cameras and so is the Karma drone. GoPro Hero5 Black is priced at $399 whereas the Session costs $299. They will be available for purchase starting October 2nd.
