It appears that Samsung is working on a new tablet that has support for a stylus – or the S Pen as the company likes to call it. Samsung has already made significant improvements to the S Pen functionality and it seems like a natural fit with tablets so it was only a matter of time before the new and improved S Pen found its way to the new tablet.
A user manual for as yet unreleased Samsung tablet bearing model number SM-P580/P585 has been spotted on Samsung’s website which goes to show that a new Galaxy tablet just might be in the pipeline.
The new tablet is likely to feature mid-range specifications which include a 1920 x 1200 inch 10.1 display, an Exynos 7870 octa-core processor as well as S Pen support. As far as specifications are concerned this new tablet appears to have quite a bit in common with the mid-range Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 despite the fact that the new tablet is expected to feature S Pen support.
It can’t be said for sure right now if and when Samsung is going to launch this tablet. It does have an event scheduled in the coming months and it’s possible that the S Pen toting tablet might be unveiled at the Gear S3 event.
