Samsung-Galaxy-Note-5-11Yesterday Samsung confirmed that come 2nd of August, they will be officially unveiling their next-gen Galaxy Note handset. While we suppose this in itself is worth looking forward to, we guess apart from improved hardware we’d also like to see new features and improved software that will make the phone more compelling than its predecessor.

Thankfully Samsung is more than happy to oblige. According to a report from the Korea Herald (via SamMobile), Samsung Electronics president and mobile chief Dongjin Koh told reporters that the company will be bringing upgrade “Note” features to the handset, which according to him means, “We have improved ‘note’ functions this time, upgrading software for user convenience.”

Unfortunately this is rather vague since the upgrade could hint at just about anything. However at the same time, we heard a rumor from last week that the Note 7 will be featuring an improved S Pen and S Pen features. We’re talking about improved Bluetooth LE connectivity, better proximity accuracy, improved Air Command, and also a revised clickable button.

Whether or not these improved and upgraded features will be worth upgrading over remains to be seen, but mark down the 2nd of August on your calendars and do check back with us in the coming weeks for the official details.
