It is unfortunate but it seems that Pokemon GO has been causing a few accidents. Recently we heard about a pair of gamers who fell off a cliff while playing the game (they survived, thankfully), and we also learnt that a gamer crashed his car into a tree and later admitted that he was playing the game while driving.
Unfortunately we doubt that this will be the last accidents we’ll be hearing about, and it seems that over in Florida, active steps have been taken to warn gamers about paying more attention. A report from Android Central has revealed that billboards have been erected that warn gamers that they should not “Poke and Drive”.
The message above reads, “The Poke Stop Can Wait, Don’t Poke And Drive.” Basically your game should not take priority over your safety and the safety of others on the road. We all know the dangers of texting while driving and talking on the phone while driving, so in reality playing Pokemon GO while driving isn’t all that safe either.
In any case this applies to non-drivers as well as dashing across the road to catch a Pokemon isn’t a very smart idea as well. Either way people, do keep an eye on your surroundings!
