So we know that Samsung has confirmed that on the 2nd of August, they will be holding an event that will pretty much unveil the upcoming Galaxy Note 7. From what we have heard, the rumors are claiming that the Galaxy Note handset offered this year will only come in a curved screen variant, meaning that users who prefer a flat screen are out of luck. Or are they?
A photo has recently surfaced which alleges that this is the flat screen variant of the Galaxy Note 7. So what’s the deal? Have the rumors been wrong all this while? We suppose that is a possibility, but according to multiple reports, it has been speculated that the handset pictured in the photo is merely an early prototype of the Galaxy Note 7.
It has been suggested that this prototype has since been discarded in favor of going with the curved screen model. Assuming that is true, we guess we don’t really have anything new to add. If anything it seems that this particular photo also confirms one of the Galaxy Note 7’s rumored features, which is an iris scanner that you can see pictured in the upper left hand corner of the phone.
Other than that, the photo doesn’t really reveal anything new that we haven’t seen before. Either way do check back with us in the coming weeks for all the official information.
