It appears that Xbox One preview program members might be in for a treat real soon. A member of the Xbox team has revealed through Twitter that the next Xbox One preview build is going to be released soon. This means that the Xbox One Anniversary Update preview is going to be released to preview program members in the near future.
The confirmation comes from Mike Ybarra, who also pointed out that like all preview builds, this particular build won’t have all of the features. It also happens to be the first Xbox One Anniversary Update preview build that’s going to be released soon.
It was back in April when Ybarra mentioned that it was possible for preview program members to see the Anniversary Update preview in either late May or early July. His announcement is right on time, and from the looks of it, it won’t be more than a couple of days before the build comes out.
Microsoft has already confirmed what the next major update for Windows is called. The Anniversary Update is going to be released for all Windows 10 versions, even Xbox One.
As the name suggests, this update commemorates one full year of Windows 10 being available to the public, which is why chances are that Microsoft is going to release the Anniversary Update on the same day it released Windows 10 publicly last year.
Next Xbox One preview build for our preview audience = soon! #Xbox #YouAllRock
