It is always very encouraging to see something old or retro make a comeback or return, featuring updated visuals as well as the latest in movie making technology. After all, we have seen remakes of classic movies, where CGI now plays such a big role, that one no longer needs to rely on stop animation to get the job done. Voltron, a classic cartoon series that sees a giant robot assemble from five different robots, clearly has its fair share of fans, and its second trailer has now appeared.
Being a Netflix exclusive, this particular series reboot will boast of an equally colorful cast, not to mention updated visuals to keep up with the times. Voltron: Legendary Defender is the result of DreamWorks Animation’s hard work, and it is set to hit Netflix this coming June 10 with an hour-long premiere episode, where it will be followed up by ten more episodes of 22 minutes each, thanks to executive producer Joaquim Dos Santos and co-executive Lauren Montgomery.
The trailer would also be the first time where one gets to look at Princess Allura, Coran, Shiro, Hunk, Lance, Pidge and Keith, and Montgomery explained, “We wanted to make it closer to what we remember the show being versus what it actually ends up being when you go back and watch it.”
