It was recently reported that Apple Music is going to be overhauled and that the changes will be showcased at the Worldwide Developers Conference next month. Another report has surfaced claiming to highlight some of the changes that are going to be made. If the report is to be believed, Apple Music will be shifted to a black-and-white design and that it’s also going to get support for lyrics.
9to5Mac reports that the colorful user interface that currently exists is going to be replaced in favor of a simpler black-and-white them. No more will the user interface change the colors of buttons and toolbars depending on the album’s cover art.
The new user interface is said to put the cover art front and center so that it remains the primarily focus and everything else just disappears in the background. The idea is to make it look “bolder, yet simpler.”
The next big Apple Music update is also said to bring song lyrics. Apple is reportedly working with music labels to make sure that words are in sync with the songs as they’re played. Some other changes mentioned in the report include making the “For You” section simpler while also improving content curation and personalization for users.
Apple hasn’t confirmed any of this yet so do take it with a grain of salt. Its Worldwide Developers Conference takes place next month and that’s an event where the company talks about software, so it’s quite likely that if Apple Music is being overhauled the company will talk about it at WWDC 2016.
