If you have a business or if you’re looking to contact a business, chances are they might have a Facebook page that you can check out to find their website, photos of products, someone to talk to, and a phone number. Some businesses also have Instagram pages that lets you see photos that they post, but that could soon change.
According to a post on Later, it seems that Instagram is testing out a new design for business profile pages that will make them look more like Facebook Pages compared to regular Instagram accounts. A you can see in the screenshot above, there is now a dedicated “Contact” button that when pressed, will allow you to get directions to their establishment or send an email.
The screenshot also shows that business profile pages can now be categorized too, like the one in the screenshot above which has been categorized as a “Health/Wellness Website”. This makes it easier for businesses to set their pages apart from regular Instagram accounts, as well as allowing users to get in touch with them much easier.
Of course whether not this design will be final remains to be seen. After all we know that Instagram does test out new designs from time to time, but whether or not they stick is an entirely different story.
