The new Legend of Zelda for the Wii U title has been a long time coming and fans are still waiting for it. However thanks to a new tweet by Nintendo blogger Emily Rogers (via Game Rant), additional details of the upcoming game have been revealed, such as how it could feature a female Link, additional voice acting, and a possible Nintendo NX port.
Starting with the female Link rumors, this isn’t a complete stretch of the imagination. Last year NIntendo did introduce a female Link called Linkle in which the character would be playable in Hyrule Warriors, so for the idea of a female Link to be introduced in the new Zelda title does sound like a possible idea.
For fans of the classic Link, don’t worry because the rumors are suggesting that gamers will get to choose between a male or female Link. There are also claims of voice acting, something that the Zelda franchise has largely avoided doing over the years which could prove to be rather interesting.
Last but not least, the report claims that the Zelda title for the Wii U is also expected to make its way onto Nintendo’s next-gen console the Nintendo NX. Unfortunately details about the console are scarce at the moment, but more details are expected to be revealed come E3 which will be taking place in the next couple of months.
