The rise of virtual reality (VR) technology in recent times certainly bodes well, as we are looking at the possibility of experiencing what it might look like walking on Mars, and with the StubHub app, they are relying on the wonders of VR to be able to show you just where your seats are at a stadium – so that you more or less have an online gauge on how the view is like before you even step into the stadium. Sounds perfect for first timers who would want to know things before the time arrives.
From today onward, the online ticketing service will make its alliance with the world of virtual reality official, as customers can then check out a delicious, 360-degree view from available seats prior to making their purchase. This StubHub app will be made available on Android and iOS, where you can swivel it around to check out what the vantage point is like.
If you so desire, you can also include your handset into a VR viewer such as the Google Cardboard in order to obtain a more immersive experience. Right now, this VR app will cater to Houston’s NRG Stadium and AT&T Park, although you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be other venues lined up in due time, based on the interest level. These are 3D renderings and not actual panoramic shots of the real place, so do take note of that.
