When it comes to driving, cars have definitely ended up as being a whole lot smarter than ever before, and this has also made our time on the roads safer. German automotive manufacturer BMW has come up with a brand new app that intends to be your personal assistant whenever you are behind the wheel. Yes, it is not quite the definitely automated driving experience just yet, far from it, but at least the experience ends up as all the more pleasant.
BMW’s Connected is the new app for car owners which is able to pick up your driving habits over time, and from there, it will be able to predict driving directions, as shared at Microsoft’s Build developer conference. This particular app is available for iOS users at the moment with no mention of whether it will be made available to Android users, and will concentrate on navigation. Estimated travel times to your next destination depending on existing traffic conditions will be shown, as with directions from your phone to your car.
Not only that, it will also be connected to your calendar so that it will jive with the different locations in your schedule, and these will end up in your app automatically. Powered by Microsoft’s cloud-based Azure platform, do expect it to end up smarter in due time.
