tmo lg g4If you have the LG G4 handset and you’re waiting for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, you will be pleased to learn that the update is available for download. However there is a catch and that is the update can only be downloaded via the LG Bridge PC software, and it seems that for now, the update is only for the T-Mobile version of the handset.

This is according to several user reports on Reddit in which many are claiming and confirming that the update is available via the LG Bridge software, so if you were wondering where the update is, you will need to plug your phone to your computer in order to get it. We expect that eventually it will be available via an OTA update, but for now if you absolutely need the update and don’t want to wait for its OTA release, then this is one way to go about it.

T-Mobile themselves have yet to update their support page with information about the update, so we’re not sure if this is an early release or if it was intentional and meant to be a slow rollout, before ramping up and releasing it via OTA. So far other carriers like Sprint have rolled out the update last year, so if anything it looks like T-Mobile could be late to the party, but better late than never, right
