Ferrari isn’t known for making family cars, it’s known for making the car of your dreams, but when it does make one you can be sure that it’s not going to give up the essential Prancing Horse elements. Ferrari is going to unveil the GTC4Lusso at the Geneva International Motor Show next month, this is its family car that’s powered by a V12 engine cranking out an amazing 690 horsepower.
The GTC4Lusso is an improve version of the Ferrari FF, that particular car boasts 660 horses and is capable of hitting 100 kilometers or 62 miles in 3.7. In comparison, the GTC4Lusso reaches that milestone in just 3.4 seconds.
The company says that this car has been designed for drivers who demand exceptional power “but refuse to compromise on in-car comfort, sporty elegance and impeccable detailing.”
By coming out with a high-performance vehicle that provides the option of carrying around four people without having to compromise on quality shows that Ferrari is open to expanding its appeal to customers who would like to have that option coupled with high-performance.
This is a major step for Ferrari which has traditionally not made that many four-seater vehicles. It has already rejected the idea of creating a sports utility vehicle to appeal to an even broader range of buyers like Aston Martin and Lamborghini have.
Ferrari has not yet revealed how much the GTC4Lusso is going to cost, we’re probably going to find that out next month when the car is formally unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show.
