Depending on the number of channels you’re subscribed to on YouTube, you might have notifications enabled or disabled to let you know when a new video has been uploaded. It’s a handy tool, but what if you’re busy at the moment and you forget to watch the video later? It looks like YouTube has thought of that in an update.
As you can see in the screenshot above, it seems that YouTube’s notifications has been updated where it will now include a “Watch later” button in the notification. This means that instead of dismissing it or watching it right now, you can save that video to your “Watch later” list and check back on it when you have the time to spare.
Note that this isn’t an update to the app itself, but rather a change that is being made server-side, so you won’t have to do anything on your end and just wait for the changes to reach you. We reckon that this is a pretty handy feature to have and one that we wouldn’t mind seeing more apps take into consideration in the future when designing their notifications. If you don’t see the changes right now, fret not as we’re sure that it will eventually make its way to you.
