So far everything we know about the Samsung Galaxy S7 is based on rumors and speculation. For example 3D Touch was a pretty big feature of the iPhone 6s/6s Plus, so naturally rumors that Samsung will follow suit surfaced as well. Whether or not such claims are true is an entirely different story.
That being said, a report out of Korea (via SamMobile) might have revealed the specs of the phone directly from the horse’s mouth. Or to be more specific, it seems that an alleged Samsung employee has come forward with the specs of the upcoming smartphone, which for the most part seems to be in line with what we’ve heard.
For starters, the alleged employee claims that the phone will feature a 12MP rear-facing camera with a wide aperture of f/1.7. The camera, while sporting a lower megapixel count, is also said to feature a larger sensor to make up for it. It is also rumored to sport a microSD card and will also be both water and dust resistant.
Like we said we’ve heard these specs before, so either the person is really a Samsung employee confirming the rumors, or they’re someone who is just making wild claims based on the rumors and speculation. It’s best taken with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully Samsung will have something to announce and show off at MWC 2016 next month.
