If there is one thing that newer consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One have over the Nintendo Wii U, it would be its graphics and framerate, which are higher than that of the Wii U. However it seems that could be changing soon and that with the Nintendo NX, Nintendo could finally be on par with the other consoles.
According to a recent leak by Liam Robertson, he has shared information that allegedly came from a Nintendo NX survey in which the company asked what kind of hardware would gamers like to see in the console. Based on what was found in the survey, it was revealed that the console would support 900p resolutions and 60fps framerates, which like we said puts it almost on par with the competition.
Right now the PS4 can probably eke out the best resolution and framerates, but if this information is true, the Nintendo NX won’t be too far behind and would actually be more in line with the Xbox One. It also suggests that it will support 4K 60fps streaming, and also the ability to surf the web, make video calls, and it also mentions how it will link between the console and a handheld device.
This seems to echo an earlier report which hinted that the Nintendo NX could share some kind of link with smartphones. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but with a rumored March-May concept release and possible full unveiling at E3, we guess we won’t have to wait too long to find out what Nintendo has in store for us.
