Xiaomi is a company that has been making a name for themselves when it comes to cheap and value for money Android smartphones, and the company’s latest smartphone comes in the form of the Xiaomi Redmin Note 3 which comes in two variants – a 16GB model that retails for RMB 899, and a 32GB model that goes for RMB 1,099.
This roughly converts to about $140 and $170 respectively, making them very affordable especially when you consider their specs. So what kind of specs are we looking at? For starters the Redmi Note 3 will feature a metal body that comes in gold, silver, or a dark grey finish. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor that Xiaomi claims will unlock in 0.3 seconds. It also makes it the first Xiaomi phone ever to feature a fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, a MediaTek Helio X10 chipset can be found. It will come in either 2GB or 3GB options, a 4,000mAh battery, a 13MP rear-facing camera with phase detection autofocus, a 5MP front-facing camera, a 5.5-inch Full HD fully laminated display and can adjust its contrast in real-time depending on the conditions.
As for availability, Xiaomi will begin selling the Redmi Note 3 starting 27th of November via its website. However given that the company has yet to make their way onto the US, it is unlikely we will be seeing the phone sold here, at least not officially anytime soon.
