As many gamers are probably aware by now, Fallout 4 will be released on the 10th of November which is next Tuesday. The good news is that it will be arriving on the PC as well as next-gen consoles like the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, which we guess gamers are probably more than aware of by now.
However if you’re wondering how Bethesda got about to starting the development of Fallout 4, here’s an interesting piece of trivia. In an interview with Game Informer, Fallout 4’s director Todd Howard revealed that this began when the company decided to port Skyrim onto next-gen consoles.
The idea was that this would allow the company’s developers to better understand the new hardware that they would be working with, thus resulting with Fallout 4 being playable on the Xbox One and the PS4. For fans of Skyrim, no doubt this is a juicy trivia because it also means that Bethesda is essentially sitting on an unreleased port of Skyrim.
Of course Howard knows what you guys are thinking – a re=release of Skyrim for next-gen consoles, right? Unfortunately for fans of the game, that might not be happening. According to Howard, he suggested that gamers probably shouldn’t get their hopes up yet. However based on the way it was phrased, it seems that they aren’t completely closed off to the idea, but just don’t start holding your breath just yet.
